Summer Night
This artwork titled "Summer Night" from my Window series, is just about right for the warm weather we are having. I love sitting outside in the evening with a cool drink, and a book or magazine. I like to close my eyes and listen to the birds calling good night to each other. I hear the muted sound of the baseball game coming from a radio, the last of the kids noises dying off with the sound of a mother calling and screen door slamming. Somebody is finishing up there lawn mowing, and a hammer is tapping out a beat somewhere in the neighborhood. With your eyes closed you can start to pick apart all the sounds. It is amazing the symphony of sounds all playing together to make up a concert on a nice warm evening in the back yard. It's the sound of summer coming.
